ORDINANCE NO. 460

 

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF SOUTH PRAIRIE, PIERCE COUNTY, WASHINGTON REPEALING ORDINANCES 278 AND 279 WHICH HAD PROHIBITED PARKING ALONG CERTAIN PORTIONS OF STATE ROUTE 162.

 

Whereas, Ordinance No. 278, passed March 2, 1993, prohibited parking on State Route 162 between the north side Mike Post Marker No. 17.38 and the north side of Mile Post Marker No. 17.39, other than for handicap access, and Ordinance No. 279, passed April 6, 1993 prohibited parking on the south side of State Route 162 from Emery Street west to the town limits, and

 

Whereas, that current configurations and traffic movement eliminate the necessity of the prohibited parking.

 

Now, therefore, the Town Council of the Town of South Prairie, Pierce County, Washington do ordain as follows:

 

Section 1: Ordinance No. 278 is hereby repealed.

 

Section 2: Ordinance No. 279 is hereby repealed.

 

Section 3: If any provision of this ordinance is determined to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions of this ordinance shall remain in force and affect.

 

Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law.
