ORDINANCE NO. 278

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF SOUTH PRAIRIE, PIERCE COUNTY, WASHINGTON, PROHIBITING PARKING ON STATE ROUTE 162 BETWEEN THE NORTH SIDE MILE POST MARKER 17.38 AND THE NORTH SIDE OF MILE POST MARKER 17.39 OTHER THAN FOR HANDICAP ACCESS.

Whereas, the Town of South Prairie has made a determination that it is in the best interest of the public safety and welfare to prohibit parking on State Route 162 between the north side of Mile Post Marker No. 17.38 and the north side of Mile Post Marker No. 17.39, other than for handicap access only.

Now, therefore, the Town of South Prairie, Pierce County, Washington hereby ordains as follows:

Section 1: Parking is hereby prohibited in the Town of South Prairie on State Route 162 between the north side of Mile Post Marker No. 17.38 and the north side of Mile Post Marker No. 17.39. Access to this location shall be limited to handicap access only.

Section 2: Should any provision of this ordinance be held invalid or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions of this ordinance shall held in full force and effect.

Section 3: This ordinance shall take affect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law.
