ORDINANCE NO. 443

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF SOUTH PRAIRIE, PIERCE COUNTY, WASHINGTON REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 184 AND SETTING THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE SOUTH PRAIRIE TOWN COUNCIL FOR THE FIRST MONDAY OF EACH MONTH AT 7:00 P.M., IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS, AT TOWN HALL, SOUTH PRAIRIE, WASHINGTON; PROVIDED THAT IF THE FIRST MONDAY SHOULD BE A LEGAL HOLIDAY THEN, IN THAT EVENT, THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL SHALL BE HELD ON THE FOLLOWING DAY AT THE SAME TIME AND PLACE.

Whereas, Ordinance No. 184 set forth the meeting date and time of the Town Council, and

Whereas, the Town Council has requested a change in the day to facilitate council members schedules.

Now, therefore, the Town Council of the Town of South Prairie, Pierce County, Washington do ordain as follows:

Section 1: Ordinance No. 184 is repealed.

Section 2: The regular meeting of the South Prairie Town Council shall be the first Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, Town Hall, South Prairie, Washington; provided that if the first Monday should be a legal holiday then, in that event, the regular meeting of the Town Council shall be held on the following day at the same time and place.

Section 3: If any provision of this ordinance is determined to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason the remaining provisions shall remain in force and affect.

Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force June 1, 2004.
