ORDINANCE NO. 419

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF SOUTH PRAIRIE, PIERCE COUNTY, WASHINGTON APPOINTING ROBERT HAMILTON AS MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGE.

Whereas, Robert Hamilton was previously appointed as Municipal Court Judge to serve out the term of retired Judge Eugene Hammermaster, and

Whereas, the term of retired Judge Hammermaster will expire on December 31, 2001, and

Whereas, the Town desires to appoint Robert Hamilton as Municipal Court

Judge for the term beginning January 1, 2002, and expiring December 31, 2005, and Whereas, Robert Hamilton is a member of the Washington State Bar Association

in good standing.

Now, therefore, the Town Council of the Town of South Prairie, Pierce County, Washington do ordain as follows:

Section 1: Robert Hamilton is appointed as Municipal Court Judge for the term beginning January 1, 2002 and expiring December 31, 2005

Section 2: If any provision of this ordinance is determined to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions of this ordinance, and the ordinance modified by it, shall remain in force and affect.

Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law.
