ORDINANCE NO. 354

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF SOUTH PRAIRIE, PIERCE COUNTY, WASHINGTON AMENDING THE ORDINANCE THAT COMBINED THE TOWN CLERK AND TREASURER POSITIONS TO ALLOWING THOSE POSITIONS TO BE HELD BY DIFFERENT INDIVIDUALS.

Whereas, the Town had combined the Town Clerk/Treasurer into one position, and

Whereas, for flexibility and for redundancy the ordinance should be modified to provide that two different individuals may serve as the Town Clerk and the Town Treasurer.

Now, therefore, the Town Council of the Town of South Prairie, Pierce County, Washington do ordain as follows:

Section 1: The Town Clerk and the Town Treasurer's positions may be held by two separate individuals.

Section 2: If any provision of this ordinance is determined to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and affect.
