ORDINANCE NO. 365

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF SOUTH PRAIRIE, PIERCE COUNTY, WASHINGTON AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 295, Section 4, INCREASING THE MOBILE VENDOR LICENSE FROM $20.00 TO $25.00 PER DAY.

Whereas, the Town established in Ordinance No. 295 an ordinance dealing with mobile vendors and mobile vendor licensing, and

Whereas, Ordinance No. 295 was passed on May 3, 1994, and

Whereas, the amount set forth as a fee for mobile vendor license was $20.00 per day, and

Whereas, the licensing of mobile vendors is required for public health, safety and welfare, and

Whereas, the costs for administering licensing has increased, and

Whereas, a $5.00 increase is appropriate since the last modification was 1994.

Now, therefore, the Town Council of the Town of South Prairie, Pierce County, Washington do ordain as follows:

Section 1: Ordinance No. 295, Section 4, is amended to read as follows:

"Fee for Mobile Vendors License: The Town Clerk shall charge a $25.00 fee per day for a mobile vendor's license ".

Section 2: If any provision of this Ordinance or Ordinance No. 295 is determined to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions of this ordinance and Ordinance No. 295 shall remain in force and affect.

Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force January 1, 1999.
