Ordinance No. 192
TOWN OF SOUTH PRAIRIE, WASHINGTON
This ordinance establishing a petty cash
Fund in the accounting system of
the Town of South Prairie; and repealing any and all ordinances, resolutions,
and other decrees establishing or pertaining to a petty cash fund.
BE IT
ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF SOUTH PRAIRIE, WASHINGTON
Section
1. A petty cash imprest fund is hereby established in the accounting system of
the Town of South Prairie in the amount of $100.00.
Section
2. The petty cash imprest fund shall be used to pay For those items necessary
For the functions of the town between regular meetings of the Town
Council.
Section
3. The petty cash fund shall be in the control of, and is the responsibility
of, a custodian to be appointed by the mayor.
Section
4. The petty cash Fund shall be operated in accordance with Volume I, Part 3,
Chapter 3, Section E of the BARS Manual of the State Auditor's Office of the
State of Washington.
Section 5. Moneys From
the petty cash Fund may be disbursed only upon the presentation of a receipt
From the vendor and/or a properly executed "Request For Authorization To
Expend City Funds."
Section 6. The petty cash Fund shall be
replenished at the monthly meeting of the Town Council upon presentation of all
receipts and authorizations For disbursements.
Section
7. All ordinances, resolutions, and other decrees establishing or pertaining
to a petty cash Fund for the Town of South Prairie are hereby repealed.
Section
8. This ordinance shall be in Full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.

town council and approved by the mayor of the Town of South Prairie Washington,
at a regular meeting thereof this 19th
day of July,
1988.
