ORDINANCE NO. 107
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO REIMBURSEMENT
OF OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSES INCURRED BY ELECTED OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE
TOWN OF SOUTH PRAIRIE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF
THE TOWN OF SOUTH PRAIRIE:
'Section 1. Any elected official or employee of
the Town of South Prairie shall be entitled to be reimbursed for those
out-of-pocket expenses incurred while conducting official business on behalf of
the Town of South Prairie.
Section 2.__ (a)
"Out-of-pocket" expenses shall include long distance telephone calls,
postage and gasoline consumption by private automobile.
(b) "Official business"
shall include transactions involving the own of South
Prairie.
Section 3.__ All
expenses to be reimbursed shall be submitted to the Clerk of the Town, who
shall present them at the next regularly scheduled meeting
of the Town Council. The Clerk shall read the list of expenses
to be reimbursed and the Town Council shall either approve or disapprove the
reimbursement. If approved by a majority vote, Clerk shall issue a check to the
elected official or employee in the amount allowed by the Town Council.
