ORDINANCE NO. 371

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF SOUTH PRAIRIE, PIERCE COUNTY, WASHINGTON AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 362 TO DECREASE THE CABARET LICENSE FEE FROM $1,000.00 PER YEAR TO $500.00 PER YEAR.

Whereas, Ordinance No. 362 amended Ordinance No. 104 which increased the cabaret license fee, and

Whereas, the cabaret license fee of $1,000.00 has precluded the application for the license, and

Whereas, $500.00 per year may be a reasonable amount to charge as a fee as proportionate to the requirements of public health, safety and welfare, and

Whereas, once a cabaret license is obtained the town will have better information upon which to base its fee.

Now, therefore, the Town Council of the Town of South Prairie, Pierce County, Washington do ordain as follows:

Section 1: Ordinance No. 362, and Ordinance No. 104 are amended to read as follows:

"A cabaret license fee shall be $500.00 per year".

Section 2: If any provision of this ordinance or Ordinances No. 362 or No. 104 are determined to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions of this ordinance and Ordinances No. 362 and No. 104 shall remain in force and effect.

Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law.
